Sailor will celebrate their 40th stage anniversary in 2013

Sailor is a rock theater institution with legions of music fans around the globe, dedicated to the uniquely entertaining brand of music, the trademark “Nickelodeon”, soaring vocal harmonies, 12-string guitar, foghorn bass and most of all – their many platinum Hits such as:.

A GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE

THE SECRETARY

CHAMPAGNE was recently used as the soundtrack for one of international retail giant Marks and Spencer’s’ most successful product launch campaigns ever, with the world’s top supermodels strutting their stuff to Sailor’s timeless classic hit, which sounded just as fresh and contemporary as his heyday.

Sailor are extremely proud of their brand new NICKELODEON – the band’s iconic audio-visual trademark, the new version of which was designed and constructed by the stage construction company responsible for Disney’s The Lion King.

Nickelodeon keyboardist and Sailors accordionist Henry Marsh recently co-composed “Cold Wind Blows” with the current best-selling artist in the world, EMINEM, and the album has reached number 1 across the planet !

Founding member Phil Pickett was, during his time as keyboardist for Culture Club, co-composer of their biggest hits of all time, “KARMA CHAMELEON,” an acoustic version of which is part of Sailor’s repertoire. Their hilarious “Full Monty” dance routine, choreographed by Dee Dee Wilde of Pan’s People, put Sailor straight to the top of the lists at every venue they perform.

Sailor live today are, Henry Marsh (nickelodeon, accordion and vocals), Phil Pickett (nickelodeon, mandolin and vocals), Thomas Marsh (drums) and Oliver Marsh, guitarist and lead singer.

Sailor were recently voted into the “Official Top 50 Most Successful Bands of All Time” in RTL’s “The Ultimate Chartshow” and surrounded by such legendary artists as The Beatles, ABBA, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones.

Next year for the 40th anniversary, the men want to let it rip again live. Secure a date for your event now!
