New album “Allessa”

The album only has this one name on the cover: Allessa. A name tag, it is also the key to the gate for entry into this young woman’s world. It is Allessa’s world that you can enter with the first song on the CD and explore track by track, step by step.

In Allessa’s world you can hear good, very good quality hits. Text and music carried by an extraordinary voice that allows itself to give the songs their very own identity.

The first harbinger is already there: “My Heart” – an adult hit, text-intensive, excellently sung. The chorus and hook are among the best that can currently be heard in Austrian pop music.

With a lot of skill and a lot of self-confidence, the Austrian newcomer Allessa reaches for the stars in the hit sky.

Allessa proves with every note on her debut album “Saturday Night” that you don’t have to lack self-confidence as a newcomer. “It depends on the voice and the ability,” says the 28-year-old with the crystal-clear voice and the Italian-sounding name, whose home is not in Bella Italia, but in Graz. “I always had the ambition that my first CD should sound as perfect as my live performances – and vice versa. Without any technical tricks.”

Saturday night proves that Allessa’s voice is beyond any doubt – thanks, among other things, to years of hard touring training in various live cover bands – with a wide and lovingly selected spectrum of songs, which Allessa interprets with a lot of energy and joie de vivre.

High-profile hit experience

Allessa is currently taking pop hearts by storm. Since her album was released in Austria at the end of July 2007, all of her singles have been in the top ranks of the radio charts.

With her debut single “Saturday Night” she was number 1 in all regional airplay charts in July. Shortly after its release, the debut album of the same name entered the top 50 of the charts, and the first major TV show followed in front of an audience of millions on “When the music plays” (ORF/ZDF/SF).

Before her first solo project, Allessa had already achieved chart success with the girl band she founded “C-Bra” (1997 – 1999). In 2000 she joined the Italo-pop band “Rapublic”, which was in the top ten of the Austrian charts with hits like “Ti Amo” (Gold in Austria) and “I’ll Be Back (Torneró)”. was represented and whose titles are now among the absolute Discofox evergreens.

From 2002 to 2005, Allessa toured as lead singer with the biggest local live bands (Lifebrothers, Egon7, Real Instinct,…) through Germany, Austria, Switzerland and even Spain. In 2005 she began working on her first solo album with the well-known team from Akropolis Musik Cologne (Declan, Nic, Chico & The Gypsies). By signing her contract with SonyBmg in the spring of 2006, Allessa gave the final starting signal to conquer the hit heaven. “Saturday Night” will also be released in Germany in the fall of 2007 after its brilliant start in Austria.

Personality instead of assembly line sound

The likeable Graz native with the expressive and soulful voice currently lives and works in Vienna and Cologne. Allessa is by no means content with interpreting the songs created together with her team of producers: she writes lyrics herself, also composes for colleagues – and of course several songs from her current album “Saturday Night” were written by her.

With a mixture of modern cover versions and new compositions, Allessa presents “Saturday Night”, a fresh, modern album that not only reflects the diversity and independence of her voice but also wants to redefine the hit in a modern, appealing way.

You can hear it in every note and in every song: Behind Allessa there is neither a coolly calculated marketing idea nor a clever assembly line producer: she determines her own path and, with her voice, her ideas and her personality, has access to you in a very short time found a wide, enthusiastic audience.
