Like her namesakes, Natascha Wright also dreamed the very special dream of her future. “I was still very small and it was already clear to me that I would one day become a singer,” the Cancer woman remembers years later.
Who is this woman who was on stage with Udo Jürgens in a duet in Zurich in December 2005 and was allowed to accompany him on his “now or never” tour from October to December 2006? Who is this woman who is repeatedly invited by Frank Farian to sing background vocals for the Daddy Cool Musical in the studio, for example?
At the age of ten she was on stage for the first time at a school performance. The mother, who was never able to fulfill her own desire to become a singer, recognized her daughter’s talent and began to consistently promote it. A congenial partnership developed between mother and daughter. Natascha performed at various talent competitions, won numerous victories and developed her performance skills step by step.
At the age of 16 she had her first record release on Polydor Holland with “Selfcontrol” produced by the Dutch producer Hans van Hemert. She then attended the “AVLM” music academy in Hilversum in Holland until she left the stage as the winner of 13 international competitors at an international competition “The Holland Casino Scheveningen Festival” organized by the Conamus Foundation under the direction of John de Mol Senior , but now finally caught the attention of professionals in the music business. The first recordings followed. Radio, TV and magazines took notice of them.
The beginning of a veritable career began. She was in the studio and on stage as an opening act with the Swiss hit parade king DJ Bobo, recording a total of two gold records with the titles ‘Love is the Price’ and ‘Freedom’. With top producer Nosie Katzmann (known from Mr.Vain – Culture Beat) she recorded the track “Party of one”, which became a number 1 success in Canada. Natascha toured with Haddaway across the globe for four years until she became a successful producer Frank Farian finally joined the chart-breaker band La Bouche in 2000.
Natascha presented her solo CD ‘Free To Live It’ in 2004. Produced by, among others, the ‘Noizmakers’ from Frankfurt and Mary Applegate (The Power Of Love) & Christopher Applegate. ‘Free To Live It’ is a mix of pop and R&B.
In October 2005, the Frankfurt journalist Thorben Leo and the photographer Angelika Zinzow portrayed her in a first-person narrative with beautiful photos in a book “Caféklatsch”. She developed her own shows, made a name for herself in the gala sector and continually built herself up as a brand. The gifted singer and lover of great voices deepens this passion through her strong relationship with the stage – with the live show.
Natascha cares about her performance as well as the contact with the people who book her as an artist. She sells her show personally. “It’s incredible fun when everything goes perfectly and the spark jumps from the stage to the audience.” Natascha Wright donates 100 euros to UNICEF when booking every American Divas & The Weddingsingers show.
Natascha inherited her temperament, her sense of rhythm and melody from her South American mother and her stamina from her Dutch father.
Natascha Wright has managed to let her dreams fly, just like her namesakes did over 100 years ago. Flying high as an artist: Yes. As a human? No. She sees herself as first and foremost committed to music. To give the good songs the voice they deserve.
“Learn to live dreams and don’t build castles in the air. My dreams are not foam, but I always see them as a goal,” says Natascha, who doesn’t let her trees grow into the sky but works with a lot of talent to express her love of music and the stage to harmonize to perfection.
