The most notable representatives of the “New Bavarian Wave” (BR3) with a nationwide impact are clearly “Mayors and the local councils”. Get out of the niche and into the charts. This was fulfilled for the band for the first time in 2008 with the No.1 audience success “Locka macha”. With other hits like “Do Reggae Mi Ned Auf”, “Sommer in der Stadt” and – most recently – “Do Glanz d’Sonna” or “Barfuss gradaus”, this young up-and-coming band ensures a sensationally good sound.
